Christmas morning was filled with surprises and smiles as usual!
Here's a video of the girls coming into the living room Christmas morning. It's not quite the same as when they were little munchkins, but they're still pretty darn cute and I love their reactions. Santa always leaves some unwrapped gifts under the tree. Unfortunately, Santa didn't label them very well this year because he was SO very tired, so there was a little confusion, but we got it all figured out. You'll see what Santa got for Amanda, but I'll explain Eliza's Santa gift because you can't see it all in the video. Eliza asked Santa for a new bed set and the comforter she picked out (when you're REALLY good, you can customize your Santa gifts!) was gray, white, black and red and looked very Asian, so we decided to decorate her new room that she will have downstairs in an Asian type theme. So, from Santa, she got the comforter, sheets, shams, pillows, a cherry blossom tree wall stencil, a light string of miniature Japanese lanterns, a large Japanese lantern and a room screen divider thing. She wants to paint the walls red, which will look so awesome! We are SOOOOOO excited for her room to be done so we can decorate it!!!! Anyway...here's the video!!
Eliza and her huge stuffed elephant from Aunt Tammy Comstock and cousin Heather. We had this in a huge box so she was super curious what it could be. Look at that huge smile! She was SO happy about this gift!
I love Eliza's face in this picture. Books are always some of the girl's favorite gift. These are Inheritance, the last in the Eragon trilogy, and a new Nicholas Sparks book called Safe Haven.

Amanda, of course, was given books, too! These are Darke, the 5th in the Septimus Heap series, and Waiting for You by Susanne Colasanti.

Amanda's big gift this year - an IPod Touch! Look at that huge grin! She was SOOOO excited and surprised! Now she doesn't have to borrow my IPhone to play games anymore!

We spent most of Christmas day over at my Mom and Dad's house with all the family that was visiting - Tammy, Jaime, Sara and Emmy Santillan and Heidi, Joseph, Alex, Rebekah, and Kaitlyn Miller. They were so awesome and waited for us to open our own stockings and a few gifts at our house before we went over there. Such patient children!!
While we were waiting for everyone to be ready and have all the cameras ready, Alex entertained us with this awesome song!
Rebekah was so cute! She just quietly played with her toys and observed everyone throughout the whole gift opening adventure. And she was so happy for Alex and Kaitlyn when they opened their gifts. I love how she's all in pink and has a great big pink stocking! She is all girl!

Kaitlyn spent a lot of time on Eliza's lap! SO cute!

Alex - happy with his karate bear!

Amanda wanted these purple boots SO bad but I told her we couldn't afford them. Looks like Santa bailed us out!
What is it with these girls and purple shoes? Eliza wanted these tennis shoes so bad and I did the same thing to her I did with Amanda...said that we couldn't afford them, but somehow, she got them anyway! She was very happy!

Eliza got a very special gift for her Daddy this year - a Hawaiian Book of Mormon! This is about the most excited you'll see Tim get over a gift! It's so precious to him I don't think he's even taken it out of the plastic yet! He wants to keep it nice. What a great idea, Eliza!

Somehow I missed getting a picture of Mom with one of her gifts! This is the only one I got of her. Oh well...at least we got one. She's always more interested in seeing what everyone else got anyway.

Jaime with his lemon squeezer! He was so excited! It will be a great help when making his wonderful ceviche!

Tammy was excited about her gift from Sara - chocolate and a gym membership. The perfect combination!!

Our Christmas gift to Dad - the new Glenn Beck book. It was so cute, when he opened it, Kaitlyn went right over to him, took it out of his hands, brought it over to me and said, "Book...Read" and then climbed on my lap!

We had so much faith Eliza was going to get accepted to BYU-Idaho, we got her some BYU-I sweats.

Amanda got Eliza this cute gift bag from Bath & Body Works, full of products with Eliza's favorite scent - Winter Candy Apple.

Eliza was our "gift distributor." Here she is, buried in a pile of gifts.

Well, you can't see their faces, but this is a poster of the Backstreet Boys. Emmy likes them just a little bit!

This was Tim's big gift - a Zero Tolerance knife. He was pretty excited about it.

Eliza collects porcelain dolls and since she's going to decorate her new bedroom (when it's finished) in an Asian theme, we got her this beautiful Asian doll.

This was one of Eliza's gifts for Amanda - these cute slippers. She loves them and wears them a lot.

Sara, our fashion diva, got these super awesome red boots. I'm so jealous!

We have a tradition of getting Tim a couple humorous T-shirts each year. The red one says, "I'm allergic to stupid people...Aaah-Choo!" The other one says on the front, "Wanna know how to keep an idiot busy? See back of shirt." On the back it says, "Wanna know how to keep an idiot busy? See front of shirt."

Amanda is still a big Redskins fan. She got a Redskins pillow pet, shirt, wallet, socks, a gift card to order a custom sweatshirt and these sweatpants. If only they'd made it to the Super Bowl this year!

Amanda's gifts from Tammy and Heather - a Kohl's gift card and animal print socks. She used the Kohl's gift card to get a cute bracelet and an awesome purple knit beanie. She was so excited and the purple hat looks awesome on her.

Eliza's other gift from Tammy and Heather was this book, Turn Back Time by Lisa Kay Hauser. She had been looking for that book for a long time, so she was super excited that Tammy was able to find it.
